On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like to extend our gratitude to Zach Holcomb, as he moves on to another opportunity with the Socorro Housing Office.
Zach has served as our Administrator since August of 2021, and done a fantastic job guiding the ship forward and implementing much-needed expansions to our services. With his help and leadership, Puerto Seguro became a certified harm reduction clinic in 2022, which provides life-saving services to people in our community who are battling addiction. He was an invaluable collaborator as we partnered with the Socorro County Compliance Office and the RISE grant, to implement a job training program that has helped prepare several people for employment opportunities since the summer of 2023.
Zach has helped hundreds of people in our community have access to the resources they needed to survive another day, and we appreciate his instincts and discernment in some of the most difficult situations imaginable. This is a difficult job, and Zach's light-hearted, easy-going demeanor made for a hospitable day-to-day environment for our guests.
