Dear Friends,
The El Defensor Chieftain featured a story on Puerto Seguro in their September 2, 2018 edition. Editor Scott Turner wrote the piece and took the accompanying photographs. The link to the article and photos can be found HERE. Please share the article with your friends and family.
In addition to interviewing me, Scott talked to several of our clients and volunteers. As the article states, Puerto Seguro served more than 10,000 meals to the homeless and impoverished in 2017. Thanks to your generous donations, we continue to be a force of good in Socorro County. Our mission is to serve the community. We are proud of the many volunteers, corporate and individual donations, and grants that make our work possible.
Do you have 4 to 6 free hours a week? Please consider joining our staff and volunteers in service to our clients. We need volunteers Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. Even just a few hours per week is a great gift to the community. If you do not have time to serve, consider purchasing items we need like dried pinto beans, canned foods, and hygiene items. For more information, call me at (575) 835-2895. We welcome your help.
As always, thank you for your support!
